Biking over the 59th street bridge at 12:45am leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Literally. I was making my way back from a band showcase at the Loving Cup bar in Williamsburg when I learned the hard way that DOT trucks start dusting the bridge at that time causing obscene amounts of dirt and NYC s**t to fly in my face and into my mouth. But really it did not seem that bad. I mean the trip to Brooklyn was to see Flamm live, and that is exactly what he was--LIVE. and so was the audience. It's incredible to see what he does on his keyboard. And his vocals aren't too shabby either. If John Legend were to make a dance track or something to really jam to, Flamm would have done it already. It's like he serves it up one part smooth, one part sophisticated, two parts fun, and a little dash of sexy to make a concoction of awesome bangers. Tonight was particularly worthwhile because he was backed up by his brother, Justin, on bass. I don't care how many times I see this guy perform. Every time he does it it's as enjoyable as the first time.
